When it comes to decorating or updating your space, lighting is one way to really add some personality and achieve that “now and wow factor.” Pendant lighting in your kitchen over your island or a pendant light over your dining table is one way to not only add light, but to add visual appeal. When you have a neutral space, let’s say… a clean kitchen palette (my fave – white cabinets with a light gray marble, quartz or granite), you can drastically enhance the overall esthetic with a gold or metal, or even a colored lighting option. Don’t be afraid of going big. The last thing you want to do is install lighting that is too small for your space!
This first picture here is a kitchen that my mom + I designed for a recent client. Once the hood was custom designed, we knew we wanted to coordinate the lighting with it.
