Hey everyone! Today we wanted to share the first reveal of our White Wing Waterman Project (#whitewingwaterman) – the kitchen! If you have been following along on Instagram, you are probably familiar with this hashtag since we have been sharing lots of little peeks of this project over the last weeks (and months, really).
We worked with A Finer Touch Construction on this project and our clients, to create a home that we are super proud of. We consulted on a different home a few years back with these clients but ultimately they decided they had different needs as family, so when they saw this spec being built in their neighborhood, they jumped on it and hired us again to work the builders to create their dream home. Luckily our clients let us take a lot of liberties on this amazing home, allowing us to really get creative and do some things we had been dreaming of doing. It was definitely a win/win/win!
The kitchen in this home is big and open to the great room, allowing for a great entertaining space. What we loved about this home, is that there is no wasted space at all. The dining room is right off the kitchen and the large island allows for optimal everyday seating.
Going into this project, the client knew she wanted open shelving and a large hood. She loved the detail of the corbels so we made sure to incorporate a simple option for those underneath the hood. We kept the hood clean with just a simple trim as to not take away from the gorgeous marble herringbone tile on the backsplash that goes up the walls. The builder was working with Cambria Quartz and we loved how the quartz turned out throughout the home, it’s stunning! Sollid Cabinetry did the cabinets in this home – the majority of the kitchen is white, however we wanted to add contract and depth with a contrasting island. We painted the island a dark, almost black color that matches all the interior doors as well.
The chandelier (from Arizona Lighting) over the island is 1 of 3 in the great room space and adds the perfect finishing touch to the space to tie in the gold hardware and plumbing.
Enjoy this stunning kitchen reveal!
